Biggest challenge you have faced: Attempting to represent Australia in 2 sports at once. Sacrificing time between 2 sports to remain A WORLD CHAMPION in one and continue to climb the ladder in the second is a constant battle I face. While working full time there is only so much time in the day to spend training. Then having to split that between 2 sports means I have to face a lot of hurdles and make plenty of sacrifices in order to achieve these goals.
What do you like most about your sport? There is no ceiling effect. I can always find a point or aspect to improve on as there is no limitation to how strong or efficient you can be. This means there is always something more to strive for.
Who/what inspires you to achieve your best in sport? My coach Damon Kelly. Damo manages to work full time, coach full time and look after 3 kids under the age of 6. The amount of time he devotes to his athletes motivates us to improve and strive to be the best in an effort to repay him for all his work.
Favourite food/drink: I absolutely love PASTA. Unfortunately competing in a weight class sport I now have to limit the amount of pasta I eat so I make sure to enjoy it when ever I get the chance.
Favourite song/music: Pink – any range of pop music. Uplifting beats which I can dance to between each exercise set is always a bonus.
Favourite movie: ICARUS
